Overview

We are pleased to announce a feature that will enable users to add custom headers to emails that are sent through their Email Security Cloud Gateway accounts.

What's changing

• Users will have the flexibility to add a header with Custom Name and Custom Value and determine the scope of the header application, similar to other Mimecast policies. For instance, users may want to add headers to emails that traverse other systems within an email processing SMTP chain. This capability enables them to exert control over additional features for services later in the chain.
• Users will have the option to select "Everyone", "Domain" or an Email Address to define the rules.
• The option to select Address Group or Profile will be available in the next release.

Recommended actions

No action is required. The custom header feature will be automatically available in your Email Security Cloud Gateway console according to the deployment schedule above.
