Overview
Mimecast is pleased to announce the release of a new feature within Email Security Cloud Gateway Attachment Protection. There is now an option to Strip and Link Encrypted Attachments in emails. This feature will allow end users to have quicker access to files if they are scanned and deemed to be safe.
What's changing
- When the option to Strip and Link Encrypted Attachments is selected, a notification will appear when attempting to open the encrypted file(s), stating that an encrypted file has been removed from the message.
- This notification will contain a link leading to a decryption portal where a password must be entered. If the correct password is submitted, the encrypted file(s) will be analyzed and decrypted. Each attachment deemed safe will then be delivered in a single email.
