This article describes the End-User's experience with Misaddressed Email Protection (MEP). End-users will be prevented from accidentally sending an email to the wrong recipient.
- It is recommended to have CyberGraph in a Learning state for two weeks and then progress to an On state before setting a Misaddressed Email Protect policy. Doing so will feed the Cybergraph learning algorithms enough historical data to make more accurate Policy matches and hone their accuracy.
- Customers already utilizing CyberGraph for at least this period will have the algorithmic data available for Misaddressed Email Protection to use immediately.
User Experience
When the MEP Action is set to Hold, the workflow is as follows:
- Misaddressed Email Protection identifies two potential errors in the To: list and, if configured, will hold the emails.
- The employee is sent a notification that identifies potential reasons as to why there might be an error
- The user is provided with two options:
-
- Yes, Send the message
- No, Don't send the message
- If the end-user takes no action, the email will be delivered after the Auto Release time has elapsed.
- When the email is sent, you will see the below notification:
