This guide will assist Simply Migrate partner administrators to create jobs for SourceOne migration.
The administrator can create jobs for SourceOne migration by following these steps:
- Ensure that the administrator has loaded the SourceOne connection string into the configuration as they would with all Sources that use a database and select Save and Next.
- Once the connection is loaded, the administrator can specify the volume per job. The default is 50 which is a good option, however, if the partner's customer has abnormally large volumes the administrator can reduce this number and select Next.
- The software will query the SourceOne database and gather a list of all available volumes, it will then create groups of 50 (or the number specified in the previous step) and display them as jobs. All the jobs will be automatically selected. Select Create Jobs.
- The system will confirm the total number of jobs to be created (which will match the above step). Enter the journal time frame (Date from and Date to) date and select Create Jobs.
The system will prompt the administrator to install the batch controller service if it was not previously installed, ensure that you use the same credentials that were used for the Simply Migrate dashboard service.
