CyberGraph 2.0 - Configuration Settings

This guide describes the different configuration settings of CyberGraph 2.0. These CyberGraph settings apply across your entire account and cannot be limited to a subset of users.

Message Banners

CyberGraph's Message Banners can be configured to be either:

      • Text Warnings.
      • Image Warnings.

For a comparison of message banner types, see: CyberGraph 2.0 - Dynamic Banners.

Changing the frequency of Dynamic Banners

  1. Log on to the CyberGraph Dashboard.
  2. Click on the Settings menu item.
  3. Click on the Message Banners tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Quantity of Banners option.
  5. Select either Targeted or Broad frequency of banners. The Targeted Banners setting is used to reduce the number of banners. To reduce banner fatigue, CyberGraph uses message history to deliver banners only for the most probable threats and suppresses banners for less probable threats. This setting is recommended if you are seeing too many low-risk false positives.
  1. Your preferences are automatically saved.

Customizing the Fuzzy Hashing Rules

Fuzzy matching uses techniques to detect misspellings, phonetics, nicknames, and “puny” characters when comparing against the names of contacts and employees in your company. The specifics about how it does this are proprietary to protect your data.

If you're receiving too many false positives, you can adjust your settings as follows:

  1. Log on to the CyberGraph Dashboard.
  2. Click on the Settings menu item.
  3. Click on the Message Banners tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Rule Customizations section.
  5. Configure the settings as follows:
Field / Option Description
Precision of CyberGraph Message Banner fuzzy name matching Select one of the following values. The lower the precision, the fewer matching characters or sounds are required to find a fuzzy match:
  • Low
  • Medium. This is the default value.
  • High: This can be useful if you've received false positives.
  • Exact: This disables fuzzy matching.
  1. Once a value has been selected, your preferences are automatically saved.

Banner Language Configurations

In the Configuration section, the administrator can choose a language for displaying banners and related content.

  1. Log on to the CyberGraph.
  2. Click on the Settings menu item.
  3. Click on the Message Banners tab.
  4. Navigate to Language below Banner Configurations, click the drop-down menu to select the language for banners.
  5. Once you have finished customizing, click the blue Save button at the top to save your changes.
  6. A dialog box will appear to confirm the language change. Click Yes, Override the current setting.

Changing the language will set the new language as the default text, overriding any customizations made in the current or previous language.

  1. Log on to the CyberGraph Dashboard.

      • Change the text for the Banner Headline - its Severity Title.
      • There is a 128-character limit for any customized text in this section.

You cannot delete the Report or Mark Safe text entirely via customization, but you can disable User Reporting as part of the CyberGraph Policy definition, in which case the reporting button will not appear.
