This article contains information on configuring Message Actions policies in Mimecast, including steps to manage message delivery, apply security settings, and customize email handling options for specific users or groups. A policy changes the way messages are handled or delivered, including:
- Determining the delivery method, i.e., sending a message securely via TLS or Secure Messaging.
- Applying Stationery to messages.
- Stripping and Linking an attachment.
- Applying Document Services to an Attachment.
A default policy is created as part of the implementation process, allowing users to utilize these message actions if Mimecast for Outlook or Mimecast for Mac is installed. This policy must only be amended if specifically instructed by Mimecast Support. Any changes to users' capabilities to control their message actions should be managed using Capabilities.
