Introduction
Rapid Deployment is an improved guided setup journey for Mimecast Awareness Training administrators. In this configuration, Mimecast automatically schedules 12 effective monthly training videos from a start date you specify. It also schedules 5 automated Phishing simulations. The initial setup journey will produce an effective and viable year-long Mimecast Awareness Training program that is preset and automated. It is built according to security awareness best practices.
All Mimecast Awareness Training Customers will be impacted by the Mimecast Awareness Training Rapid Deployment.

How it works
When you access the Mimecast Awareness Training platform for the first time, you will progress through the Rapid Deployment workflow. This involves responding to a series of questions and input fields.
To get started, the you will have to select an industry, which will then arrange the training videos according to the top ranking within your industry. These videos can also be rearranged by dragging them to your preferred order. Following the identification of training groups, the platform generates a pre-set of an automated 12-month Mimecast Awareness Training program.
The platform prepares a detailed summary page of the prescribed Mimecast Awareness Training program, before prompting you to launch the program. After launching the program, the first-time setup process concludes, and you are directed to the platform where additional changes and updates can be made at any time.
Prerequisites
You should ensure that:
- Mimecast has been allowlisted, to ensure phishing simulations pass through Microsoft O365 seamlessly.
- Your domains are correctly validated.
- Your directory is linked to the Mimecast Administration Console.

First Time Setup
You can carry out the Rapid Deployment of Mimecast Awareness Training by using the following steps:
- Log in to the Mimecast Administration Console
- Navigate to the More Services section in the left-hand menu.
- Click on Awareness Training.
- You will see the Welcome page.
- Click on Let’s go .
- Choose the Industry.
- Enable | Disable the Video Based Training.
- Click Choose Groups (this option allows you to select the user groups you want to do the Awareness Training).
You can choose multiple Profile Groups & Directory Groups.
- Insert a Notification Email Address (this is the local email address users will be receiving the notifications from must be valid in your environment).
- Put in the Start Date (date which the user groups will begin receiving training).

Enable | Disable the Phishing Simulation.
You can choose a maximum of 50 multiple groups from either Local or Active Directory groups.
- Click Choose Group(s).
You should use this to test this functionality. Additional target groups can be selected after Rapid Deployment is completed within the application.
- Click Next.
- The Review page which displays the previous page setup.
- Click Next.
- Click confirm to see Summary page.
- Click the Launch Awareness Training to load the Awareness Training modules.
