• The update has been reverted/postponed on FAA/AAA accounts while we resolve an issue seen by some customers.
• Access to Ingestion Management is currently unavailable via the App Switcher in Mimecast Administration Console. Users are advised to access via My Apps until the fix is deployed.

Overview

We are pleased to announce updates to our Menu/Navigation system within the Mimecast Administration Console.

What's changing

We are updating our Menu/Navigation system within the Mimecast Administration Console - this means you will no longer navigate via the Administration Menu in the page's header.

This brings an updated navigation experience to all our Mimecast Administration Console users, making it easier to find and access the content you need, and is an early step in an exciting program of work to update and evolve the overall user experience within our applications.

• We are moving to a left-hand menu that contains the top-level items and a new full page to access all second-level items.
• The new left-hand menu will be hidden or displayed via the menu icon in the top left-hand corner.
• The Mimecast Administration Console Dashboard will be accessed via the Home button in the left-hand menu; navigation paths to access other areas of the Mimecast Administration Console will remain unchanged.
• This update also includes visual updates to the top navigation bar (where you access your profile).
• For FAA/AAA account users, the “Federated Access” menu will now be displayed in the left-hand menu.

It is not possible to opt out of these changes.

Additional Supporting Changes

To support this change, some additional updates will be made within the Mimecast Administration Console:

• Internal Tabs will be removed; when accessing menu items in Mimecast Administration Console, they will now open within the browser (or in a new tab if opened via right-click | Open Link in New Tab).
• Navigation within Exchange Sync & Recover will be updated to remove the Hamburger menu currently used to access features and move to use page tabs as used across Mimecast Administration Console (any saved links to pages will continue to function as before)
• This update will no longer support the Mimecast Administration Console History menu. You can use your browser's native history function to achieve the same goal.

You don't need to make any changes - planned update schedules and notifications within the Mimecast Administration Console will be published.
