Overview

Mimecast is pleased to announce the general availability of Mimecast API 2.0. The Mimecast API 2.0 interface is for existing and new APIs going forward. Authentication and Authorization for Mimecast API 2.0 are based on the OAuth 2.0 standard.

What's changing

The below tile will be enabled on all accounts from June 5th, 2023, to allow customers to register applications for Mimecast API 2.0.

Existing Mimecast 1.0 APIs will continue to function. Mimecast will announce an end-of-service update for Mimecast 1.0 APIs in due course.

Additional changes have been made to the Mimecast Administration Console, to make finding and managing API 1.0 and API 2.0 apps easier. These changes are highlighted in the below image.

Recommended actions 

Customers can register applications for Mimecast API 2.0.
