Engage - Changing Your Local Language

This article describes how to change the language used in the Engage user interface and is intended for End Users.

Introduction

You can change the language used in Engage for the following:

  • The Engage user interface.
  • Closed captions in the videos.

Most videos are subtitled in the chosen language, with a few exceptions. Closed captions are available by selecting [CC] in the video window.

  • Questions, answers, and other user tutorial information.
  • Training notification emails.

Considerations

  • We support 27 languages for all the videos until season seven and UK season one, after which 13 languages are supported.

  • Closed Captions (CCs) are attached to the videos in SCORM.

  • Dubbing only has the option of German, is limited to videos from seasons one through to five, and is available in SCORM.

  • To discover the full range of available languages, see our Module Catalog (page 4: Multinational Language Support) for further information on supported language groups and which videos they apply to.

Changing the Language

You can change your locale language by using the following steps:

  1. Click on the Globe icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Select a Language from the drop-down list.

    Language

The current language is signified by a bold typeface in the drop-down list and a two-letter abbreviation in the top right-hand corner of the interface.
When German is selected as the language, the audio will be dubbed in German. Closed captions in German can also be selected.
