Overview
Mimecast is pleased to announce the latest version release of the Mimecast Synchronization Engine.
As part of Mimecast's ongoing initiative to improve the performance of our Mimecast Administration Console services, we are pleased to announce that we have a new Mimecast Synchronization Engine version 4.5.0.489 available.
What's changing
This new version of Mimecast Synchronization Engine includes the following fixes:
- Dynamic groups in Microsoft 365 not being resolved by the Mimecast Synchronization Engine.
- Secondary group mailbox resolution.
- Microsoft 365 only addresses are not accessible to the Mimecast Synchronization Engine - We found that Microsoft 365 only users with a mailbox in the Microsoft 365 Exchange server are not accessible to the Mimecast Synchronization Engine.
- Finally, we have added a way to assign MDS-only permissions when binding instead of granting full admin privileges when a customer is only running MDS. This role is required to run the Mimecast Synchronization Engine.

This update has been rolled out and is currently available. The new Mimecast Synchronization Engine version can be downloaded from the Application Downloads page.
