Web Security - Web Security Dashboard

This article gives an overview of how to use the Web Security Dashboard, and is intended for use by Administrators.

The Web Security Dashboard offers built-in reporting for administrators, including visualizations of the top ten most accessed domains, accessed site categories, blocked domains, and blocked-by-site categories. It also displays summary data, which is rolled up and processed every 30 minutes. It doesn't show real-time data.

For real-time data, see the Activity Report and the Security Report.

Please note that if Web Security has not yet been configured, i.e., no DNS requests have been processed by your Mimecast tenant, you may see warnings when accessing this dashboard until such time as you have implemented and begun ingesting data.

Navigate to the Web Security Dashboard

You can view the Web Security Dashboard, by using the following steps:

  1. Log on to the Mimecast Administration Console.
  2. Navigate to Web Security | Dashboard

The Activity Chart

The Web Security Dashboard displays an activity chart of the allowed versus blocked requests.
You can select/deselect x-axis items in order to display Allowed and/or Blocked activity data from the previous seven days.

  • I'd like to know if you can filter specific sites in any of these charts, that would be great!
