Overview

Mimecast is pleased to announce upcoming enhancements to the left-hand menu within the Mimecast Administration Console. These enhancements are the next step in the evolution towards a unified administrator experience across our product suite, along with improvements based on customer feedback.

What's changing

New 'More Services’ section in the left-hand menu

The new section within the menu will be the new home for all of the services that are currently accessed via the App Switcher in the Mimecast Administration Console, namely Awareness Training, Brand Exploit Protect, CyberGraph, DMARC Analyzer, Service Monitor, and Threat Dashboard.

Accessing other services:

Supervision Queue (Formerly Supervision), Case Review, Reviewer, and Ingestion Management will now be located in the Archive section in the main menu.
Email Security Setup Wizard and Connect App services will now be accessible from the Accounts section.
Mimecaster Central will now be accessible from the User Profile menu.
Mimecast Personal Portal will now only be available via My Apps.

Mimecast Administration Console Navigation

You will now be able to expand the top-level menu sections to show the sub-menus within the left-hand menu.
Additionally, the most used top-level menu items will move to the top of your menu. This will provide quicker access to sections of the Mimecast Administration Console and allow users to browse sections without navigating away from where they are. Home will remain at the top of the menu, and Message Center will now be second. This will help customers quickly find their needed pages within the Mimecast Administration Console.

Additional changes:

Keyboard Navigation: Users who rely on keyboard inputs to navigate the platform can effortlessly move through the menu, access features, and switch between different sections.
Improved Focus Indicators: We've enhanced focus indicators to make your relative location more apparent when navigating the menu.
Breadcrumbs: The in-page breadcrumbs have been updated across the Mimecast Administration Console, allowing navigation to previous pages.

Recommended actions

No action is required from customers as a result of these changes.

What’s next?

We will soon be introducing an additional ‘More Products’ section to the left-hand menu. This section will provide customers with a view of additional services that are available to them and the ability to trial those products. We will continue to improve the Mimecast Administration Console experience based on customer feedback and the evolution to a unified Administrator experience.
