Mimecast for Outlook - Cloud Password

Changing Your Cloud Password

Your Administrator may have configured a cloud password for you to use when authenticating your login to Mimecast for Outlook. They may also have allowed you to set or change your cloud password.

If you use your cloud password in other end-user applications (e.g. Mimecast Personal Portal), ensure any changes made in Mimecast for Outlook are also applied there — failure to do so results in incorrect authentication in the other applications.

You can change your cloud password, by using the following steps:

  1. Click on the Mimecast ribbon.
  2. Click on the Account Settings icon in the General section.
  3. Click on the Cloud Authentication authentication method. You are asked to authenticate your login.
  4. Enter your current Cloud Password.
  5. Click on Edit.
  6. Complete the Password Reset dialog as follows:
Field / Option Description
Current Password Enter your current cloud password.
New Password Please enter a new cloud password, ensuring it meets the below requirements in both fields.
Confirm New Password
  1. Click the Change Password button. Your cloud password is changed, and you'll be logged out of Mimecast for Outlook.
