Engage - Configuring Unauthenticated (Login Free) Access

This article describes Engage Unauthenticated (Login-free) configuration. It is intended for Administrators and End Users.

Considerations

Email Security Cloud Integrated utilizes login-free access for end users only.

Engage Unauthenticated (Login-free) configuration

Login-free Account Settings cannot be self-configured.
Your Professional Service Representative configures this unauthenticated setting during your Engage implementation.

If you want to change your existing authentication configuration to Login-free, log a support ticket, and a Service Delivery Representative will assist with the setup.
Mimecast does not support External users on External domains for Login-free Engage

Login-free Experience for Administrators

Administrators have the same experience and functionality regardless of whether the account is configured as Login-free or with a different authentication profile.

Login-free Experience for End Users

The unauthenticated Login-free End User experience differs from the authenticated End User experience. End users receive the same video training email notifications and reminders for authenticated and unauthenticated configurations. However, the link embedded in the email differs if the configuration is Login-free:

  • With Login-free, when end users click on the link, their identity is determined by a unique token assigned to them. As a result, they are taken directly to the Engage video without having to authenticate.
  • Once in the Engage application, they can complete the assigned training or access their Video Training Library to complete or re-watch previously assigned video modules and targeted training.
