Issue
We have identified a known issue with Mimecast for Outlook where the Impersonation Protection and Suspicious Message banners overlap with Outlook functions. This problem occurs when the screen resolution is changed, or when the Outlook application is moved between multiple monitors.
Workaround
- We recommend using the Tag Message Body option available with the Impersonation Protection feature. By utilizing this option, a custom banner will be inserted directly into the HTML of the email, or as plain text if the email is sent without HTML. This approach prevents reliance on the Mimecast for Outlook add-in to interpret and display the banner, thereby avoiding the overlap issue.
