Detection Engines Security
Mimecast Email Security Cloud Integrated will display the Security tab. The default selection on the Date Filter is 30 days.
Once the detection engines have completed analyzing the message, below are the categories a message could result in:
- Malware: If a phishing URL is detected upon scan, the default action will Block the message.
- Phishing: If a phishing message is detected upon scan, the default action will Quarantine the message.
- Untrustworthy: If a phishing message is detected upon scan, the default action will Quarantine the message.
If Cloud Integrated cannot definitively categorize the email as Malware, Phishing or Spam we’ll classify it as Untrustworthy. These emails include characteristics we may deem “Unsafe” or “Questionable” so this ensures the customer approaches these emails cautiously.
- Spam: If a phishing message is detected upon scan, the default action will move the message to End User Junk Folder.
