Overview

Mimecast is pleased to announce the general availability of Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS) enhancements. 

What's changing

Mimecast will update the support offered for Cryptographic Message Syntax (used to digitally sign, digest, authenticate or encrypt arbitrary message content) so that the platform can better distinguish signatures from encrypted and encapsulated encrypted content.

Recommended actions 

Nothing needs to be done as a result of these changes.

After the release, administrators might notice a reduction of False Positives (fewer items being placed On Hold, due to them having been detected as holding encrypted content incorrectly).
