Awareness Training - Program Overview

This article describes how to use the Mimecast Awareness Training Program Overview for key user and reporting information and is intended for administrators.

Introduction

The Program Overview displays your organization’s progress with Mimecast Awareness Training and allows you to generate a report at a high level.
It displays a consolidated view of real-time results from all released company-wide training as well as industry benchmarking.

Data from Targeted Training modules and Test Campaigns is excluded from these analytics.

Program Overview Metrics

The Program Overview doesn't display metrics data when first logging on to a new Mimecast Awareness Training implementation.
You must schedule training and/or simulations for your users, and they must engage with the training lessons before any metrics can be calculated.

The Program Overview emphasizes the return on investment (ROI) from user security behavior management training, as well as tracking the effectiveness of the training over time. It also helps identify the types of users, departments, and locations most susceptible to attacks. This is achieved by reviewing the following summary metrics:

• DMI Integration issue detected: This banner displays should the integration be in an error state. It includes a link to the Integrations Hub, where the integration status can be reviewed.

• Company Risk Score: This is made up of 4 elements which we use to measure  and generate the report. The elements are Human Error, Engagement, Knowledge, and Sentiment.
• DMI Integration issue detected: This banner displays, should the integration be in an error state. It includes a link to the Integration Hub, where the integration status can be reviewed.
• Company Wide Completion Statistics: This is the summary of completions from the Company Wide Training queue, and the associated correctness of the responses.
• Completion Rates by Department: Provides a breakdown of your top-three and bottom-three departmental training completion rates.
• Watchlist  Overview: Displays which users are missing modules for a period of four weeks

• Industry Comparison: Displays how well are the users doing with the security questions, and shows how the company's correct response rate measure up against those who have not taken the training.

  You can expand the summary to display other industries by clicking the + icon.

• Attitude Tracker: Before users take their first training module, they answer five questions about their security at home and work. We aggregate the data to pinpoint your organization’s position on the attitude tracker and monitor how your security climate changes over time. Click on the View Details link to view the details for each question
• Human Error Summary: This is a summary of users graded F for Human Error. This is rated as the highest individual component within the user risk.

Awareness Training Reporting

The Program Overview contains helpful information and statistics on your organization's Mimecast Awareness Training. You can download this information to a PDF, for management reporting purposes.

You can create the PDF report, by using the following steps:

1. Click on the Report button from the Program Overview dashboard. This displays a report preview.
   
    

   

2. Click on the Generate PDF link at the top of the report. A PDF file is generated in your browser's default download location.

   

3. Click on the PDF File to open it in a separate browser tab.
4. You can then click on:

  • Download to save the PDF in another location.
  • Print to print the PDF.
