Issue

The third-party application/time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) method of two-factor authentication (2FA) cannot be used to create API keys in the Mimecast Administration Console.
This is a known limitation not on the Mimecast Product Team Roadmap to resolve.

Workaround

• Downgrade to another method of 2FA (Email, SMS) OR
• Utilize an IP Address Bypass

You may need to specify the Mimecast external and internal Data Center IP Ranges due to the connection within Mimecast.
