Issue
Several known issues may occur if the Simply Migrate Account is not installed or configured correctly.
Common installation problems:
- The credentials used to install Simply Migrate are not a SQL server's local administrator or system administrator.
- The binding is not working because Administrator IP Ranges are set but have not added the IP of the Application Server.
Commonly omitted configuration information that causes issues:
- Ingestion Management Application missing.
- Partner missing in ingestion management.
- Ingestion size is not correct.
Workaround
- Utilize our Guides and Resources on the Simply Migrate Knowledge Hub to ensure you follow best practices for a successful Installation and Configuration.
- To download the Simply Migrate App from the Administration Console, the Ingestion Management app must be enabled for your account, done when the SKU is ordered.
- Ensure that the prerequisites for Server Specifications and Required System Access are met before installing:
- Only Administrators will see the application in the Administration Console.
- The account performing the migration must have Local Administrator rights on the server hosting the Mimecast Simply Migrate client software.
- The account must also have System Admin rights on the SQL instance.
- The application server running Simply Migrate must have access to the SQL instance.
- The Dashboard Service must be installed under the same user account as above.
