Mimecast Customer Care - Applications Imported via Consent Workflow

This article explains how you can remove the Imported Application from your Azure tenant or remove the domain-wide delegation from your Google Workspace instance when you have deleted the associated connector from your Mimecast account. It is intended for Administrators.

Overview

When a connector is directly associated with a service, such as Continuity or Sync and Recover, you cannot remove it. Only when the direct association has been removed, you will be allowed to delete it. When doing so, an alert will display to make you aware of the application that got imported into your Azure tenant during creation. As a recommendation, when you remove the connector, you should also remove the application from your Azure tenant. For Google Workspace, you should remove the “Domain-wide delegation” entry.

The below table displays the services and the application names they use:

Service Application Name*
Continuity Mimecast O365 Continuity <region>.
Directory Synchronization Mimecast Azure Directory Synchronization <region>.
Mimecast Archive for Microsoft Teams Mimecast MS Teams Archiving <region>.
Mimecast Essentials for Outlook (MEO) Mimecast Essential for Outlook <region>.

Remediation Mimecast O365 Mailbox Remediation <region>.
Sync and Recover Mimecast Mailbox Sync and Recover <region>.
