DMARC Analyzer - Namesco DMARC Setup

This article contains information on publishing a DMARC record in Namesco DNS, including step-by-step instructions for adding or editing the TXT record, field configurations, and expected DNS propagation time. DMARC Analyzer will aid you to generate your own custom DMARC record with our DMARC Record Generator.

After generating your DMARC record you should follow these simple steps to publish your DMARC record into your Namesco DNS:

  1. Log in to your Namesco account.
  2. Click on the domain to be updated.
  3. Navigate to the DNS Settings section.
  4. Complete the fields as below:
    • Hostname: Enter ‘_dmarc’ as the Hostname (the TXT record name should be “_dmarc.yourdomain.com”)
    • Type: Select TXT as Type.
    • Result: Enter your custom DMARC Analyzer TXT record in the Result section (your custom DMARC record as generated by our DMARC record generator).

If you already see a record with the name "_dmarc", edit this record instead of creating a new record. This is important because you can't have multiple DMARC records.

  1. Click on the Save button to publish your (DMARC) DNS record.
  2. You should now wait some time before the first reports will start to arrive in DMARC Analyzer. This is due to DNS caching and the fact that the ISPs mostly send one report each day. This can take upto 72 hours.
