This article contains information on using Archive Folders in Mimecast for Mac, including prerequisites, accessing synchronized folders, viewing deleted messages, and navigating archived content for seamless email management.
Prerequisites
Your Administrator has enabled Mimecast Synchronization Engine Folder Synchronization on your account.
Using your Archive Folders
There is a known issue, where navigating to Archive Folders | Sent Items displays message details as From, Subject and date and time, and not as To, Subject and date and time.
Archive Folders allow you to access your messages in the same folders as you access them in your mailbox, even if your mail server is unavailable or if the message has since been deleted. The current location for each message is displayed, and if a message has been deleted from your mail server it will be displayed in the last location before it was deleted.
You can browse your Archive Folders, by using the following steps:
- Open the Mimecast for Mac application, and ensure you are logged in.
- Select Archive Folders from the navigation menu.
- Use the Grey Arrows to expand the synchronized folder list.
- Enable the Include Deleted Folders option to include deleted folders in the list view.
- Select a Folder to view the contents.
- Select a Message to preview it.
All messages that were ever present in the folder will be displayed, if they have been archived by Mimecast.
