Account Settings - Identifying Mimecast Regions

This article contains information on identifying your Mimecast region (grid) using your Account Code, which is based on regional abbreviations. It also provides steps to locate the Account Code in the Mimecast Administration Console for accurate regional identification.

You can identify your region and, in the United States, which grid you are on using the Account Code structure shown below:

Region Mimecast Account Code
United States of America (A grid) CUSA*****
United States of America (B grid) CUSB*****
Canada CCA*****
Europe (Excluding Germany) CUK*****
Germany CDE*****
Australia CAU*****
South Africa CSA*****

Notes:

  • The Account (grid) Code determines your email routing region, data center location, and the time zone displayed in the Mimecast Administration Console. The email routing region and console time zone cannot be changed by administrators.
  • Use the correct grid when configuring IP ranges, smart hosts, and when working with URL rewriting or cross-region links to avoid connectivity or enrollment errors.
  • When requesting information such as your archive size or export data, always include your Mimecast Account Code so the correct account can be located.

To access the Account Code:

  1. Log in to the Mimecast Administration Console.
  2. On the Mimecast Dashboard, scroll down to the Account Summary section. Your Mimecast Grid (account) Code is displayed there.
