Mimecast Mobile - Online Inbox

This article contains information on using the Online Inbox in Mimecast Mobile, including composing, replying, forwarding emails, adding attachments, and applying advanced message options.

Prerequisites

Your Administrator has enabled the Compose functionality.

Using the Online Inbox

You can compose a message, by using the following steps:

  1. Select the Compose Mimecast Mobile Composing a Message icon.
  2. If you've selected Reply / Forward Mimecast Mobile Composing a Message_1, you'll need to select the appropriate option. (Reply, Reply All, Forward, or Forward as Attachment)
  3. Add the recipients, subject line, and message body.

    The auto complete feature matches addresses in your device contacts (if access has been allowed) as well as approximately 200 of the most recent emails you've previously sent through Mimecast.

  4. Click the attachmentMimecast Mobile Composing a Message_2 icon to add an attachment.
  5. Advanced message options can be applied to messages, by selecting the message setting icon and selecting the desired option.

  6. Once the email has been composed, click Send to send the message.

Sent emails may appear in your Online Inbox instead of a Sent Items folder. This is expected behavior, as messages are BCC'd back to your environment. 
By default, Mimecast Mobile only displays the Online Inbox with messages from the previous 30 days. 
To view your full mailbox folder structure (including Sent Items), your Administrator must configure either the Mimecast Sync Engine or Sync and Recover feature.
