Issue
CyberGraph Dynamic Banners will not be displayed automatically in Microsoft 365 Outlook on the Web (known as Outlook Web Access / OWA), nor in the New Outlook client that is presently in opt-in release. Both of these products share the same code base, which does not support the Trusted Sites configuration that CyberGraph relies on for the automatic download and display of banners in end-user recipient messages.
Workaround
Until Microsoft provides a workaround or reintroduces Trusted Sites in the new Outlook for Windows client, Mimecast recommends the workarounds below:
Configure CyberGraph to display image (text-based) banners if using Microsoft Outlook for Windows or Microsoft Outlook Web Access.
Dynamic or Text Banner configuration is at an account level and applies to all users within the account.
Alternatively, end users can choose to Download Images and Trust Sender in individual messages. Mimecast recommends that CyberGraph customers avoid using the New Outlook for Windows client, if possible, until Microsoft provides better support for Trusted Sites and other features requested by Classic Outlook customers. Microsoft is expected to begin default installation of New Outlook for Windows client in April 2026, with the option remaining to rollback to Outlook Classic at that time, and has extended support for the 'Classic' Outlook for Windows client until at least 2029.
