Sync & Recover - Message Classes

This guide lists the message classes that are synchronized with the Mimecast archive for the various Sync & Recover task options.

Email Message Classes

By default, three message classes IPM.Note, IPM.Note.MimecastStub, and IPM.Note.Rules.OofTemplate.Microsoft are automatically synchronised with the Mimecast archive.

You can navigate to Archive | Exchange Sync & Recover in the Administration Console, Edit Sync Task, and then add Additional Message Classes to be synchronised for the selected sync task.

IPM.Note	An email message.
IPM.Note.MimecastStub	An email message stubbed by the Mimecast Synchronization Engine.
IPM.Note.Rules.OofTemplate.Microsoft	Received out of office auto reply email.
IPM.Note.SMIME	Encrypted or digitally signed email.IPM Class Description
IPM.Note.Secure	Digitally signed notes to other people.
IPM.Note.Secure.Sign	Digitally signed notes to other people.
IPM.Schedule	Meeting related notice.
IPM.Schedule.Meeting	Meeting request.
IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Canceled	Meeting cancellation notice.
IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Notification.Forward	Forwarded meeting invitation.
IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Request	New or updated received meeting invitation.
IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Resp.Neg	Sent declined meeting notice.
IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Resp.Pos	Sent accepted meeting notice.
IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Resp.Tent	Sent tentative meeting notice

Calendar Message Classes

The following message classes are automatically archived with the Archive Calendar option selected in a task:

IPM Class	Description
IPM.Appointment	A calendar appointment.

Contact Message Classes

The following message classes are automatically archived with the Archive Contacts option selected in a task:

IPM Class	Description
IPM.Contact	An address book contact.
