This article contains information on using the Insert menu to configure Content Examination definitions, including adding search terms, regular expressions, hashes, and reference dictionaries for comprehensive content scanning.
When you're configuring a Content Examination Definition, you can use the Insert menu to add or reference content examination strings. This has many uses, including:
- Creating basic search terms.
- Generating a hash algorithm for a document.
- Linking a content definition to a reference dictionary or regular expression.
Complicated definitions can reference multiple reference dictionaries or a combination of reference dictionaries and regular expressions. The Insert menu allows you to configure a single content examination definition to search across multiple dictionaries, regular expressions, or document hashes.
