Mimecast Account Assessment Report - URL Protection

This article provides an overview of the varied reports created for URL Protection within the Mimecast Account Assessment Report, and is intended for Administrators.

URL Protection provides extensive protection against targeted attacks. The report records trends in the threats you receive and helps you to be proactive in your approach to them.

URL Clicks

The donut chart is divided into three sections: Whitelisted  Unsafe Safe This bar chart provides the totaled value of clicks analyzed and the amount of unsafe clicks detected. This chart is further analyzed through the benchmarking panels which will show how your business compares against other Mimecast customers other Mimecast customers across industry, region, and size. This calculation provides insight and encourages your users to be more vigilant when clicking links. A "click" in this context is counted when a user actually selects a URL that has been rewritten by Mimecast. Hovering over a link does not generate a click, and Mimecast does not simulate or pre-check URLs by automatically following them. Even when a URL is blocked or the user chooses This is Safe to proceed through a blocked page, the interaction is still logged as a potentially malicious URL click in the monthly account assessment report.

 

Top URL Clickers by  Severity and Volume

This table shows the most active URL clickers.  The results of these reports are entirely dependent on the settings configured for the URL Protection definition in your Mimecast account.

The benchmarking data is not currently available for all customers. This is planned for resolution, but a resolution date is not yet available.
