Administration Console - Enabling Early Access Functionality

This article provides information on enabling the Early Access preference in the Mimecast Administration Console, which allows administrators to access new features before their formal release, along with considerations for subscription requirements and user settings.

Access to new and improved Mimecast Administration Console functionality isn't ordinarily available until we formally release it. However, as we refresh significant sections of the Mimecast Administration Console, new experiences are provided alongside the existing experience for some time. This is made available to administrators through the Early Access preference.

Considerations

Before you set the Early Access preference, consider the following:

• Certain features or functionality through Early Access preference are only available if your subscription includes them. For example, if Gateway | Tracking isn't enabled on your account, you won't be able to see the new Message Tracking, even if you have enabled the Early Access preference.
• If you enable the Early Access preference:
  • You'll have access to the changed functionality.
  • All users on your account must allow the Access Early preference to see the changed functionality.

Enabling Early Access

To enable the Early Access functionality:

1. Log on to the Mimecast Administration Console.
2. Click on your Account Avatar.
3. Click on the Preferences menu item.
4. Toggle the Early Access option.
5. Finally, click on the Apply button.

Ensure you've saved any work in all Administration Console dialogs, as setting this preference reloads the application. Failure to do so results in any unsaved changes being lost.
