This article contains information on managing senders in Mimecast for Mac, including steps to add, block, permit, and filter email addresses or domains, as well as navigating to the Managed Senders feature for effective email control.
Managed Senders allows you to add, delete, search and filter entries. There are actions enabling you to Allow Blocked Sender(s), and Block Permitted Sender(s).
Using Managed Senders
You can navigate to Managed Senders, by using the following steps:
- Open the Mimecast for Mac application, and ensure you are logged in.
- Navigate to Managed Senders, either via the button in the main menu, or via Window | Manage Senders from the top menu.
- Select the Blocked, Permitted, or Trusted tab.
The Trusted tab is only available if your Administrator has enabled this functionality.
- Select the Add button.
- Enter the sender's email address or a domain into the text box.

- When adding a domain, the @ symbol is not required (e.g. to block @domain.com use domain.com).
- Multiple addresses / domains must be added on separate lines.
Adding multiple addresses / domains is only available in the blocked or permitted senders lists.

- Click OK to add the entries.
