This article contains information on using the Online Inbox and Online Sent Items in Mimecast Mobile, including composing, replying, forwarding emails, viewing recent messages, and understanding key features like archive access and email synchronization limitations.
Browsing Online Inbox and Online Sent Items
- Select either of the following menu items:
- Online Inbox.
- Online Sent Items.
- A page opens, showing items sent or received in the last 30 days.
By default, the last 25 messages are displayed in reverse date order, with the most recently received email displayed first. To access more messages, scroll to the bottom of the list and more items will be retrieved.
- Click on a message to preview it.
- From the message preview you can Reply, Reply All and Forward the email.
When forwarding or replying to emails with long bodies or chains, part of the content may be cut off due to a character limit in Mimecast mobile.
Mimecast Mobile:
- Is a view of your entire archive, as such there is no concept of deleting messages.
- Does not replace the native email client on your device, as such there is no concept of read or unread synchronization back to your Microsoft Exchange environment.
A native email client is one which is built into the Operating System or device, e.g. the Mail app on an iPhone.
