Customers currently using the Connect Application are advised to complete their onboarding setup as soon as possible as the Connect Application is scheduled to be discontinued on the 31st of January, 2024.
This article explains how to change your Connect cloud password in the Connect Application, including steps to update it securely and recommendations for regular password updates to maintain account security.
The first time you log in to the Connect Application, you must change your cloud password from the one supplied to you. You can also change your cloud password at any time. In fact, it is advisable to do so on a regular basis.
You can change your Connect cloud password, by using the following steps:
- Log in to the Mimecast Connect Application.
- Click on your Account Profile.
- Select Change Cloud Password.
- Complete the Change Cloud Password dialog as follows:

| Current Password | Enter the cloud password you used to access the Connect Application. |
| New Password | Enter a new cloud password. The minimum requirements (e.g. number / type of characters) are displayed in the dialog. |
| Confirm Password | Renter the value previously entered in the New Password field. |
A visual indicator displays if the new password contains the required number of characters, and the New Password and Confirm Password fields are the same.
- Click Change Password.
Having changed your password, you are automatically logged off and asked to log on with your new cloud password. Once this is complete, you can continue using the Connect Application.
