Mimecast Mobile - Application Settings

This article contains information on Settings within Mimecast Mobile, including managing email image loading, setting default behavior for rejecting or releasing emails, locating your Device ID, and understanding Pinlock settings configured by Administrators.

Navigation

Preferences can be accessed from the main menu and selecting Settings.
Applied settings are saved automatically.

Load Images in Email Automatically

You can amend whether images are loaded automatically, by using the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. In the Email Settings section, select On or Off to set whether images are loaded automatically in email.

Mimecast recommends following the settings you receive in Microsoft Outlook.

Setting Default Behavior When Using Reject and Release Email

This setting allows you to specify the default action when releasing messages from the On Hold queues. A description of each option is provided on screen.

You can set the default behavior when using your On Hold queues, by using the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. In the On Hold Email Release and On Hold Email Reject sections, click on the Default option and select from the available options.

Device ID

This may be used by your Administrators when diagnosing issues or identifying your device, and can be found by navigating to Settings.

Pinlock Settings

This displays the time period before the Pinlock will be displayed again. This is set by your Administrators and cannot be set by end users. It can be found by navigating to Settings.
