Overview
Mimecast is pleased to announce the ability to notify your End Users that messages have been blocked, due to Malware or Phishing actions.
What's changing
Alerting your End Users that messages have been blocked due to Malware or Phishing actions has the following benefits:
- It will reduce the delay in obtaining the message for critical business workflows. You end users will be aware of a quarantined message rather than not receiving an email.
- It will increase your End Users' awareness as to how they are being attacked.
- It will reduce time spent diagnosing mail delivery issues.
Recommended actions
You should navigate to Detection Actions within Email Security Cloud Gateway, and ensure that End User (notified for malware and phishing quarantine only) is ticked, under the Alerts section.
See the Alerts section of Per Policy Detection Engines for further information on configuration, and when alerts will be sent to users.
