Overview

Administrators will now have the ability to send test emails for phishing templates to ensure that campaigns appear and function as intended before launching.

This feature allows administrators to verify that phishing simulations look and work correctly from an end user's perspective. Additionally, administrators can test templates without creating full campaigns, ensuring they understand the user experience.

How it Works

The Template Library serves as a crucial resource for creating, copying, and customizing email templates and landing pages for phishing simulation campaigns. Upon entering, you'll encounter Mimecast-generated phishing emails and a language drop-down to filter templates by the selected language. Clicking on a template allows you to preview its appearance to the recipient, featuring important variables such as name and track links for monitoring interactions. Customization options enable the creation of single-page phishing templates, where you can set the title, subject, from address, and category for better organization. Additionally, tags can refine searches for specific templates. The email editor facilitates modifications to the email body, with suggestions to enhance realism, such as including QR codes for increased user engagement.

Build a Single-Page Phishing Template

  1. Locating the "Send Test Email" functionality within the Template Library.
  • Log in to the Mimecast Engage platform.
  • Select Phishing Training Template Library.
  • Select Customize to modify or create a custom template.

  1. Email Origin: Test emails will be sent from the same address that will be used for actual phishing simulations.
  2. Experience Mirroring: When an administrator clicks on the test email link, they will be directed to the corresponding landing page for the phishing simulation, allowing for thorough testing.

Build a New Multi-Stage Campaign

The Add Phishing Form button gives you the ability to add a form to your phishing simulation. Adding a phishing form to your template converts your simulation into a Multistage Phishing Campaign.

  1. Navigate to Phishing Training.
  2. Select Template Library.
  3. Select Add Phishing Form.

Once you convert a template into a multistage phishing template, it cannot be changed back to a single-page template.

You can find your new templates and all other customized templates in the My Templates tab, where you can copy, edit, delete or filter them by category, tag, and language.
