Aware - Spotlight Dashboard

This article contains information on using the Spotlight Application to analyze digital community health and sentiment through insights like daily trends, platform-specific data, and trending themes, enabling informed decision-making.

Spotlight provides users with behavioral and group insights, allowing them to make effective decisions faster.

  1. To access the Spotlight Application, you will, by default, arrive at the Dashboard. The Dashboard is divided into two sections:  Daily Insight and Engagement Insights.

Daily Insight offers a comprehensive overview of the following

  • Daily Insight for total messages and overall Sentiment Indicators and Health Indicators
  • Source Breakdown of Message Activity, Sentiment and Health Indicators and Trends by Source
  • Trending Themes: A list of ten trending Themes is displayed in multiple locations throughout Spotlight (This feature is exclusively applicable to Public Group conversations and messages in English. Private Group conversations may also be included. To enable this feature, navigate to System Settings ModulesSpotlight).
  • Platform Insights: For users with multiple integrated platforms, a carousel showcasing the integrated platforms is now available on the dashboard, facilitating quick access to groups that are specific to each platform.
  • Pinned Group message count, Sentiment and Health Indicators and their trends.

These stats will update daily at 12:00am UTC

  • Sub Themes in Trending Themes
    • Sub Themes provide users with enhanced context regarding employee sentiments and discussions on specific topics. This functionality enables a deeper understanding of the issues that are most important to employees. By offering insights into how individuals are conversing about various subjects alongside their sentiments, Spotlight users can effectively distinguish between matters that require attention and those that are merely noise within the organization.

If you'd like to know more about what Message Activity includes, hover over the icon beside Messages (Messages are considered any type of post, comment, reply or chat within groups and direct messages).

If you'd like to know more about what the Sentiment and Health Indicators include, hover over the icon beside the Sentiment and Health Indicators on the Dashboard.

Network Analysis on Weighted Themes

This model can be found on your Dashboard and has been updated to represent the relationship between Trending Themes and Content Authors within public groups (the greater the thickness of the line between the Themes indicates a higher number of content authors who have utilized both keywords).

  1. Scroll down to Engagement Insights

This view provides users with a Sentiment and Health score over a 7,28 and 90 day period. In the upper right-hand corner of the graph you will see Highest Sentiment/Health and Lowest Sentiment/Health days notated.

The Sentiment and Health charts can be further categorized by Source or presented in the form of a bubble chart or line graph. To do this, simply activate the Show Sources option and select the desired display method using the buttons that represent dots or lines.

  1. To gain further insights into the fluctuations in the score, click on one of the data points within the Sentiment or Health graph.

  • Message Activity with key contributing groups and source breakdown
  • Conversation Sentiment Indicator breakdown with key contributing groups
  • Conversation Health Indicator breakdown with key contributing groups
  • Trending Themes for Public Groups
  • Group Insights

For more details on a specific group, navigate to Groups in the Spotlight sub-navigation.

For users with two or more platforms integrated, navigate to Platforms, which provides Spotlight metrics at the platform level. This helps with easy comparison to the performance of individual platforms. From this table, you can view groups specific to that platform.
