Aware - How to Upload a Survey

This article contains information on uploading open-ended survey results into a platform, including permissions setup, CSV upload steps, platform selection, data visibility options, and leveraging the data for custom reporting and insights.

Below, you will find step-by-step instructions on how to upload your open-ended survey results.

  1. An Aware System Administrator should create the Generic Platform under System Settings | Integrations. Users with Upload Data Permission can then upload CSVs of survey data to the created platforms.
  1. For users to upload CSVs, an Aware System Administrator must ensure users have Upload CSV Data as a Permission from RBAC.
  1. Once a user has access to Upload Data, they will now have the app in their left-hand navigation.
  2. The user will select the appropriate platform that has been created for their tenant and will be able to upload their CSV of Generic Survey Data.

Each CSV will live under an already-added platform

  1. Determine the Display Name and if you want this data to be considered Public vs. Private.
  1. Upload will begin processing and, once successful, can be found underneath the platform it was uploaded to.

A platform can be considered the Survey provider, and the upload can be the Survey.

  1. This data can currently be leveraged in Custom Reporting to run reports on specific surveys, the entire survey platform, or the survey platforms + other integrated data sets.
  • From the Content Platform Audience Type, a user has the capability to generate a comprehensive report on the entire Survey Platform, similar to what is available in Qualtrics or Glint.
  • Sources are determined in the System Settings during the upload of each CSV file. The following illustrates how Surveys will be displayed when opting to generate Custom Reports.
