Overview
Mimecast is pleased to introduce a feature in Behavioral Nudges called Malware. This functionality:
- Aims to enhance security awareness by recognizing risky behaviors associated with malware, and offering targeted, behavior-specific nudges to users.
- It analyzes user activity, including malware downloads and execution attempts, and sends automated emails with or without embedded videos to educate users on how to avoid malware.
- Furthermore, it encourages positive behaviors by congratulating users who successfully avoid malware.
- The system allows Administrators to configure and manage these nudges, ensuring they are only sent after proper integration with a third-party malware solution.
What's changing?
- New Nudge Templates: Updated email and video templates for addressing targeted behaviors, including malware download attempts, repeated malware activity, and successful malware avoidance.
- Video and Poster Updates: New videos and posters have been created and assigned to specific nudge scenarios.
- Integration Requirements: A new banner and tooltip in the UI will inform administrators that malware nudges will only be sent after configuring a third-party malware solution through the Integrations Hub.
- Improved Messaging: Subject lines and email body content have been revised to ensure consistency and clarity, aligning with existing communications.
You'll benefit from these updates in the following ways:
- Increase user awareness and encourage behavior change by using targeted and engaging nudges.
- Offer clear and actionable steps to minimize malware risks and enhance overall organizational security.
- Provide a seamless and customizable experience for Administrators, ensuring that nudges are sent only when the necessary integrations are established.
- Establish alignment with best practices for secure communication, promoting a culture of vigilance and proactive risk management.
