Identify IP addresses used by Incydr data connectors

Overview

All Incydr data connections are served out of Microsoft Azure data centers and do not use static IPs or fully qualified domain names (FQDNs). Instead, these IP addresses are managed by Microsoft and can change over time. However, you can identify which IP addresses may be used by a Incydr data connection by examining Microsoft's published IP address list.

Considerations

The IP addresses used by Incydr data connections are all contained within one of these Microsoft regions, depending on your location:

  • United States customers: East US, listed under AzureCloud.eastus in Microsoft's published IP address list
  • Ireland/EU customers: North Europe, listed under AzureCloud.northeurope in Microsoft's published IP address list

Identify Incydr data connection IP addresses

  1. Go to Microsoft's Azure IP Ranges and Service Tags - Public Cloud page in their Download Center.
  2. Click Download to download the JSON file that contains Microsoft's published IP address list.
Note that Microsoft updates this file weekly.
  3. Open the JSON file and use the search tool to locate the appropriate section for your location:
    • United States customers: Locate the AzureCloud.eastus section
    • Ireland/EU customers: Locate the AzureCloud.northeurope section
  4. To determine whether the call is being made from an Incydr data connection, compare the IP addresses listed in this section of the file to the IP address that is making a call into your business services.
