To simplify integrations and to improve security, consistency, and scalability, Py42 has been replaced by the Incydr Software Development Kit (SDK).
Py42 reaches end-of-support on January 1, 2026, and reaches end-of-life on January 1, 2027.

Why is Py42 being discontinued?
- Py42 is being discontinued to simplify integrations, enhance security, and provide a more consistent and scalable solution via the Incydr SDK.
- By transitioning to the Incydr SDK, you gain access to a modern, secure, and efficient API framework that aligns with best practices for API management.
Timing
What is the end-of-support date for Py42, and what happens on this date?
- The end-of-support date for Py42 is January 1, 2026.
- After this date, Incydr will no longer provide technical support, bug fixes, or updates to Py42. While Py42 may continue to function after this date, we cannot assist you with any issues that may arise.
What is the end-of-life date for Py42, and what happens on this date?
- The end-of-life date for Py42 is January 1, 2027.
- On this date, Py42 functionality will be removed from Incydr. All integrations, scripts, and other tools using Py42 will stop working. To prevent any interruptions to service, make sure to migrate to the Incydr SDK before this date.

What is the Incydr SDK?
- The Incydr SDK is a Python client for interacting with the Incydr API, and is the recommended tool for all Incydr integrations.
- You can use the SDK to develop your own tools for working with Incydr data while avoiding the overhead of session and authentication management.
- The Incydr SDK offers a more secure and centralized API framework than Py42.
What do I need to do to prepare for this transition?
- Identify any integrations, scripts, and other tools using Py42 in your environment.
- Plan and execute a migration to the Incydr SDK as soon as possible.
- Refer to the Incydr SDK documentation or contact our Technical Support Engineers if you need additional assistance.
What are the benefits of migrating to the Incydr SDK?

Will Incydr provide migration support?
- Yes, migration support is available. First, review the Incydr SDK the documentation in our Developer Portal. If you need additional assistance, contact our Technical Support Engineers for support.
What happens if I don’t migrate to the Incydr SDK by the end-of-life date?
- If you do not migrate by January 1, 2027, all integrations, scripts, and other tools using Py42 will stop working. This will cause service interruptions for any functionality using Py42.
