ADVANCED RELEASE NOTIFICATION: Code42 App 8.8.2 Release

In mid-January 2022, Code42 will release app version 8.8.2.

As a reminder, administrators can delay this upgrade for up to 60 days by configuring a global delay or organization exception. Administrators who do not configure a delay will receive new versions of the Code42 app on release day. We will send an additional notification the day of the release.

Enhancements in version 8.8.2 of the Code42 app include:

• A dedicated Code42 app optimized for Macs with the M1 (Apple Silicon) processor.
• Updated the Log4j library from version 2.16.0 to version 2.17.1 to further mitigate CVE-2021-45105, CVE-2021-44832, and CVE- 2021-45046.
• Performance and stability improvements.
