Which backup agent version am I using?

This article describes how to learn which version of the backup agent you're using.

Why does the version matter?

The functionality of your agent can differ greatly depending on the version. You should know the exact version when you:

• Contact our Technical Support Engineers
• Consult support articles for help
• Contact sales for new products

Identify your app's version number

Identify the precise version number of your app as follows:

1. Open the backup agent.
2. From the menu bar for your operating system:
   • Windows: Click Help > About Code42
   • Mac: Click Code42 > About Code42
   • Linux: Click Help > About Code42
3. Note the version shown.
