Overview

Mimecast is pleased to announce that the Menu search and favorites options are now available when using the New Menu in the Mimecast Administration Console.

What's changing

• Menu Search:
  The menu search is available from the search bar within the top navigation bar in the Administration Console. This assists users in finding menu items quickly. The search returns results based on the Menu item name and any descriptions of the items.
• Favorites: 
  The ability to create, manage, and navigate using favorites is now available when using the New Menu. The services used to manage users' favorites in the Administration Console have changed from the legacy menu to the New Menu. This means changes made to users' favorites will not be maintained between the two menus.
• Can I copy my existing favorites?
  To help with maintaining existing favorites, we have introduced a one-time import of a user's favorites from the legacy menu to the new menu.
• Users will be prompted by the Import Favorites option when they open favorites via the icon in the top-right or when they add a favorite via the star icons within the menu for the first time after this release.

• Selecting ‘Yes’ will import favorites into the new system and selecting ‘No’ will dismiss the message. 

Once a user has selected either option, the above message will not be displayed again.

Recommended actions

• We highly recommend that customers switch to the New Menu, provide us with feedback, and follow Service Updates in the Knowledge Base to keep up to date with updates and timelines.
