Who's affected Administrators and Developers using public Mimecast APIs
for integrations, automation, or third-party applications.

Overview

Mimecast is pleased to announce updates to the way Admin IP restrictions are applied to our public APIs, as part of our ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and integration flexibility.

What's changing

  • Effective immediately, Admin IP restrictions will no longer apply to public Mimecast APIs.
  • This means that API requests made to public endpoints will not be subject to the IP allow / block lists previously configured for Administrator access.

Recommended actions

Nothing needs to be done as a result of these changes.
Your existing integrations and API-based workflows will continue to function, but you may notice that API access is no longer limited by your Admin IP restriction settings.
