Overview

Mimecast is excited to introduce Multi-Vector Threat Protection, an advanced enhancement to our threat intelligence platform. This new capability builds upon our proven multi-context intelligence, enabling comprehensive, all-context analysis across the Mimecast security ecosystem. By leveraging signals from a wide range of sources, including customer and Mimecast social graphs, anti-spam engines, and URL protection services, Multi-Vector Threat Protection delivers a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of emerging threats.

What's changing

1. All-Context Analysis: Expands threat detection from multiple contexts to every available context source, ensuring no signal is missed.
2. Integrated Intelligence Sources: Correlates data from customer social graphs, Mimecast social graphs, anti-spam engines, and URL protection services.
3. Enhanced Threat Indicators: Identifies and flags suspicious activity such as unknown senders, spikes in newly created domains, freemail usage, and human verification traps.
4. Availability: This feature will be available to all Cybergraph and Advanced BEC customers starting in December.

Recommended actions

As part of our ongoing commitment to efficacy, we'll enable Multi-Vector Threat Protection in Monitoring mode at the beginning of December. This enhancement provides visibility into advanced threat detections in Analysis & Response without affecting your current email flow. Your messages will continue to be delivered normally as you gather additional threat intelligence to inform your security strategy. There is no action required on your part.
