Issue
This known issue affects the Archive Search functionality in the Mimecast Administration Console.
Issue Summary
Some administrators are unable to see the Archive Search or Archive Search & Export links in their Mimecast Administration Console interface, even though they have the appropriate account-level role permissions.
Scope and Symptoms
- For affected clients, the Archive Search and/or Archive Search & Export options are not visible or available in the Mimecast Administration Console.
- Administrators experiencing the issue do have the correct permissions; the problem is related to link visibility in the interface, not to role configuration.
Workaround
While the permanent fix is being implemented, affected administrators can still access Archive Search by using a direct URL.
Direct Access URL
Use the following format to access Archive Search directly:
https://login-[region].mimecast.com/admin#l/search
Usage Notes
- Replace
[region]with the appropriate regional value for your Mimecast environment (for example, the applicable US, USB, or DE region string). - This URL provides direct access to the Archive Search area, even when the Archive Search or Archive Search & Export links are not visible in the Mimecast Administration Console navigation.
- This is a temporary workaround intended for use until the Known Issue is fully resolved.
