Navigate to the role's management screen, use the user picker to search for the user from your Mimecast directory, and add them to the role. They'll automatically be added to Aware's User Management and will have access when they first log in. Only users with the 'Aware' permission in their Mimecast role will appear in the user picker. |
| Q | Will all my Mimecast directory users automatically appear in Aware's User Management? |
| A | No. Mimecast directory users are discoverable in Roles management for assignment purposes, but they only get added to Aware's User Management once you assign them to a role. User Management only contains users who have been given Aware access through role assignment. |
| Q | What happens if I remove a user from Aware's User Management? |
| A | Removing a user from User Management automatically removes them from all assigned roles and revokes all access to Aware. |
| Q | I can't find a user when searching in the user picker. What should I do? |
| A | Verify that the user is mapped to a Mimecast role that has the 'Aware' permission enabled. Only users with this permission will be discoverable in the user picker. If the user has the correct Mimecast role but still doesn't appear, contact Mimecast Support for assistance. |
