User Portal - Logging in & Changing Your Cloud Password

This article explains how to log in to the User Portal and Set or Reset your Cloud Password.

Logging in to the User Portal

You can log in to the User Portal by using the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the User Portal.

  2. Enter your Email Address in the login screen.

  3. Click on Next.

  4. If your Administrator has chosen to use a Single Sign-On technology, you will be redirected to the sign-in page of the Identity Provider.

  5. Select one of the following options from the drop-down:

  •  Select Cloud if you're using your Mimecast Cloud Password.

  • Select Domain if you're using your Domain Password.

  1. In the Password field, enter the Password that has been provided by your Administrator.

  2. Select Login.

Managing Cloud Password

If your Administrator has enabled Cloud Password resets as per Cloud Password Reset - Configurations, you can change or reset your Cloud Password when you are logged in to the Mimecast User Portal.

Changing Your Cloud Password

  1. Select the Settings icon and then Change Cloud Password.

  2. Enter your current password.

  3. Enter and confirm your new password, ensuring it meets the requirements detailed on screen.

  4. Select Change Password.

You will be logged out after successfully changing your Cloud Password.

Resetting your Cloud Password

If your Administrator has enabled Cloud Password Resets as per Cloud Password Reset - Configurations; you can Reset your Cloud Password when you are logged in to the Mimecast User Portal.

You can Reset your Cloud Password, by using the following steps:

  1. Select the Settings icon and then Reset Cloud Password.

  2. A Captcha panel is displayed to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

  3. Enter the displayed Captcha.

  4. Click on Reset Password.

  5. Select the Email or SMS option. (Available option are set by your Administrator).

  6. Click on Next. You'll receive an email or SMS from us containing a Reset Code.

  7. Enter the Reset Code.

  8. Click on Continue.

  9. Enter and confirm a New Password making sure it meets the displayed requirements.

  1. Click on Confirm.

    The above process can also be initiated from the login screen, by entering your password click next, and select the Rest Password option and follow the above from Step 2.
